International Dispute Resolution

Frost Brown Todd attorneys are adept at drafting dispute resolution clauses to address in advance the possibility of disputes.  This is critical in transnational global agreements.  Nothing is worse than having a good contract but finding out that it is not enforceable or that the dispute resolution choices are unacceptable to achieve a fair result.

Our attorneys have deep experience in both litigation and arbitration matters around the world.  We will assist you in conciliating, mediating, arbitrating or litigating a dispute with a foreign party.  Our Alternative Dispute Resolution Practice Group has handled non-litigation matters to conclusion in numerous different arbitration and mediation fora.  We won for a client a complicated proceeding in private arbitration before now Chief Justice John G. Roberts, when he was a practicing attorney and serving as international arbitrator.

Our attorneys spearheaded an effort for the American Bar Association about whether and how evidence can be gathered outside the United Statesfor use in a U.S. court or arbitration forum.   For a review of Evidence Gathering Procedures in 31 different countries,  please follow this link.
